Our main aim is to advance our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disease and to reveal untapped therapeutic targets for these disorders.

We explore which proteins are present in the human brain and how these proteins change in neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and frontotemporal dementia.

We also develop new tools to promote the use of stem cell technology for improved disease modelling and drug testing.
